‘Tis the season for giving. Did you know The Giving Heart puts on a free Thanksgiving feast each year at the Greater Richmond Convention Center? You can still assist in this year’s Thanksgiving feast by donating needed items, from whole milk for mashed potatoes to flowers for the tables.
It’s all fun and games, when you pull out Thanksgiving bingo. Whether it’s a dish getting burned or someone having just one too many glasses of wine, there’s a spot for it on this bingo board from Tasting Table.
Last minute sides to save the day. What to add to your calendar
Don’t forget your ornament. There’s no shortage of holiday-related events taking place in the next few weeks, but the Quirk Hotel Tree Trimming & Toy Drive definitely deserves a shout out. Taking place on Tuesday, November 28 from 5-7 p.m., you’ll get a festive beverage if you come with an ornament for the tree or better yet, a holiday toy donation for ChildSavers.
If you hate wrapping. Then I have just the event for you! The Veil Brewing Co. is hosting Tapped & Wrapped on Friday, December 1 from 4-10 p.m. where you can purchase gifts from a variety of holiday vendors who will take care of the wrapping for you. It looks like over 15 businesses will be on site in Scott’s Addition for the event.
Nothing takes the stress out of holiday shopping like carbs. You can also take care of holiday shopping on Sunday, December 3 from 1-4 p.m. at Blue Bee Cider’s Christkindlmarkt. Bonus: Nate’s Bagels will be on site at Blue Bee with bagels, spreads and breakfast sandwiches.
Feeling crafty? Strawberry Fields Flowers & Finds is holding a fresh holiday wreath workshop on Tuesday, December 5 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. No experience is required, and you can sign up for the class online here, which has a fee of $75 to attend.
